Earlier this year, my friend Jeff Hall and I launched a Kickstarter campaign for a book about building 3D dungeons for role-playing games. Its focus was a little scattered, and the format wasn’t quite right for the market. We had a good response to the campaign, but some wonderful feedback from backers and others helped us see that we should step back and re-evaluate what we could do.
And so, on October 25th, we are launching a Kickstarter campaign for The Tremendous Tome of EPIC Dungeons!
This book is focused on presenting the creative works of almost 20 tabletop builders/crafters from around the world, showcasing epic dungeons that they have built (or are building at the moment). The campaign will be all about funding this physical book (144-pages, hardback, faux-leather-look cover with gold foil) and sharing immersive photos and text about these exciting and inspiring builds.
The campaign will run for 16 days, and feature straightforward pledge levels for the PDF version, the physical version, or the physical and PDF versions. We are particularly excited to be working with wonderful manufacturers like Dwarven Forge, Monster Fight Club, Steve Jackson Games, and Printable Scenery, as well as exciting creators like Todd Putnam (from the D&D Creative Table Designs Facebook group), plus Black Magic Craft, Real Terrain Hobbies, and RP Archive from YouTube, plus @horcharr, @npc_creations, @oldskoolcreative, and @picassawi from Instagram! No doubt more awesome artists will be joining us along the way!
We’ll be showing off huge builds, detailed builds, builds that are outside of the box, but the regardless of the scope of the projects, each build will have something exciting to inspire everyone interested in Fantasy gaming!
