During my more than 25 years in the miniature wargaming industry I’ve had the opportunity to talk to many people about all of these facets of marketing, including two years as the Marketing Manager for GW Asia Pacific, two years as the Community Development Manager for GW North America, and 18 months with CMON in Miniatures Marketing. When it comes to tabletop wargaming, hobbyists love to learn more about new products (or products new to them). Ensuring you have a depth of material for your customers to devour is very important: information about your game mechanics, the background setting of the worlds you have created, ideas for building, painting, and even converting your quality miniatures.

Layout & Editing
During my time with Games Workshop I had the pleasure of working on White Dwarf magazine for over ten years, four of these as the Editor of the Australian edition. More recently I worked for five years as the US Editor of Wargames Illustrated, the premier wargaming magazine. Work on both of these well-known magazines, layout out on a dozen wargaming rulebooks, as well as hundreds of other pieces of promotional material, AND creating my own successful hobby book – ARMIES & LEGIONS & HORDES – has honed my skills in the following:
